Most of the main cast and visitors to the island have passed away, but some remain to this day. Here's a then-and-now summary of many of the cast members . Lots you'll remember - some you might not. @@bobgomez9481 The Warriros Game Was release on Playstation 3 & 4 consoles in 2005. It was very average compared to the movie. Fortunately I´m a bit a movie and game buff but The Wonder Wheel at Coney Island at start of the movie may be my earliest memory of films.
I'm the same age as Swan. 'I don't particularly want this responsibility, but I can deal with it'.
The one time the video game was 5 times better than the actual movie.
If you were born when video games of movies didn't exist, you might say otherwise, because "your video game" based on "our movie" did not exist before this movie. So there's that, movie > video game homage to movie...
Thank you so much. 🤗
You're welcome.
I remember going to the theater to watch this movie. I was 25 years old. Along time has passed since then. I thought it was a great movie.
Marcelino Sanchez died of Aids
AIDS is like a cancer
People with AIDS are more susceptible to certain diseases because their immune systems are compromised. In Marcelino's case, this resulted in cancer.
@@boogleben1No. Because he wouldn’t have that type of cancer if he didn’t have HIV. I know someone who also has her cause of death listed as cancer so that others don’t know the truth, that she contracted HIV from her husband. It’s a way of covering it up. I’m sorry that some people feel like they have to do that.
@@mycinnamongirl I'm sure that was a thing. But first getting HIV/AIDS then getting cancer due to your compromised immune system was/is a very real thing.
YOu forgot to add the one hot Lizzie that said "Hi". She was my favorite.

Warriors FOREVER 💪
"Big boy...Swan's war chief!!" Lol
I heard a horrifying rumor. There might be a Warriors musical being made. I'm assuming it would be for live theatre, not a film. I picture something like West Side Story, only MUCH MUCH less gay.
What I remember, there is an homosexual gang that kidnap swan Yeah that's it , but swan escape
Love the movie the warriors it was way ahead of its time Can you dig it 🤩
No idea why I am commenting on Marcelino at this time. But it does bring to mind the last time I saw him in Hospital. Not many people knew about AIDS this early. I visited him but was not warned what I was about to see. What was in the bed was someone that resembled Marcelino but his head was large and swollen that he said, I know leonard , "I'm not so pretty any more." was so sad.
😢
Te dijo algo mas?
hello Brother Marcelino
Quick story: About 6 years ago, I was on the subway 4 train line: afternoon travel in my home town (NYC). I was sitting by myself in the two-person corner seat in the train car. Across from me was an older man that looked so familiar to me, but I couldn't wrap my mind around who it was! So, I inconspicuously stared at him without trying to be weird. After about 3 minutes, I think I got it! I went on my phone and typed in IMDB. I was able to match the face with the person that was sitting across from me! It DAVID PATRICK KELLY: Luther the antagonist leader from the Rouges gang in The Warriors! Now, New Yorkers are usually known for NEVER getting starstruck. We see celebrities all the time. However, there are rare times when we do! and this was it for me! He was sitting with a very pretty young lady, perhaps his daughter who looked about 30-35 years of age. kind of resembled him. So, i was kinda nervous but I just wanted to say the famous line: "Warriors, come out and play-ya!" But I didn't say anything ..Anyway, I didn't want to bother him . But I did a side stare at him picturing my favorite scenes with him. However, I left him alone and went back to my private life again. but i was really happy to see someone from one of my favorite movie. Hopefully I'll see and meet another great character from THE WARRIORS. who knows. Anyway, I'll never forget that wonderful quiet experience.
That's cool.
That’s so cool
So sad about Marcelino i wonder what he would have done in his life if he wouldn't have passed so young.

The warriors, escape from newyork and the thing.
Marcelino Sanchez passed away from complications of HIV.
Correct. People with AIDS are more susceptible to certain diseases because their immune systems are compromised. In Marcelino's case, this resulted in cancer.
thats what i learned as well.

Marcelino Sanchez died from aids not cancer. This info is incorrect.
People with AIDS are more susceptible to certain diseases because their immune systems are compromised. In Marcelino's case, this resulted in cancer.
@@boogleben1 Everyone who dies from aids dies from the infection they get because of aids such as cancer but the reason why he died was because of aids that's how he got the cancer. If you say everybody died from something else other than aids then nobody would ever die from aids.
Back then people who got aids always died from something else but you have to say aids that was the cause of death that's what caused the cancer that killed him was aids so he died from aids just like everybody else who dies from aids always dies from something else because they have aids.
@@4vinylsound You said it. AIDS not kill the people, only opens the door to another diseases that can end with the life of the man, like infections. Another characteristic of HIV it's that the virus mutate the human cells DNA (the same that it attacks), making in the mayority of cases that the person caught cancer. In other words, the AIDS don't kill the people, only ends with the inmunological system of the people (like some other drugs uses in treatment of other diseases)
@@Ragnarok_Lollipop So you're saying that the 40 million people in this world that died from aids did not die from aids. Try telling them and their families that see how that goes over.
They didn't have Twitter , Instagram, Yt ?
LOL! No. There were no cell phones or even video games then. The Sony Walkman wasn't until 1981. The first mass produced personal computer was 1981 too by IBM. No VCRs yet either, you couldn't rent movies, you had to go to the theater to see them. No CDs yet either, just vinyl records and tape cassettes. No cable TV only three major TV networks. Simpler times, I miss them, there was a greater sense of community, and you had to go see people face to face to be with people. Like when the TV movie "Trilogy Of Terror" was on the first time the WHOLE COUNTRY and every kid you knew saw it the night before and everybody would be talking about it at school and in your neighborhood. One time in May 1979, here in NY, on the radio station WBLS, the DJ Frankie Crocker, one afternoon, started playing the song "Disco Nights" by the group GQ, and then he started mixing-repeating the instrumental break on the song over and and over, like for 10 minutes, every kid you knew was calling you and you calling them, and the kids on the street with their boom-boxes were HOWLING! That had never been done before on the radio! There was just this sense of community because everybody was listening or watching the same shows, music, movies, etc. Now everybody is in their own little world.
Its a shame Cleon wasnt much in the movie. But Beck/Sean had a great charisma

Benny didn't die of heart failure... He literally died from heart break... He was treated in a very shoddy way by the TV station boss...as money has no soul, what can one expect...
What wonderfull memories that brought back. Bless them all.
Hey Boppers, My name is Moïse Morancy. I’m the writer, director and producer on this proof of concept. I also star as Cleon in this. If you’re like me, someone who appreciates and loves “The Warriors,” you know in 2005, Rockstar created a video game based on the cult classic and gave a backstory to how the gang was formed. Myself and others believe this needs to be remade as a prequel. No one can hold a candle to the originators but I wanted to pay homage and give them their flowers. Because they weren’t good…they were “the best.” I hope you enjoy! 🙏🏿
It should be made into a prequel. I think many fans would love to see one. Too bad Netflix, Amazon and the ilk have got their heads stuck on "Superheroes." They won't invest in any other genre. They say Batgirl bombed before the masses got to see it. It's been yanked. My opinion is these so-called experts don't know what they're talking about. The critics hated The Warriors, its now a cult classic. I dug it from day one. The new Warriors would have to have lots of nudity(sex), fighting, cursing, explosions, hotties( both men and women) and lots of tattoos, not a single one in the first. Can you dig it?
The Warriors DEFINITELY deserves a prequel. And your trailer was DOPE! Hopefully it can become a full movie.
Your project is excellent. Truly well made. Good luck with it.
@@leequinn2733 I can definitely dig it.
